Website privacy notice · last updated 3 October 2026

This notice covers the website at snowcanvas.app. The SnowCanvas app gets its own privacy policy before its App Store release.

What this website does not do

It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and loads nothing from other companies: no external fonts, scripts or images. The pages are static files.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin, Ireland). To deliver a page, the hosting service necessarily processes the technical data your browser sends with every request: your IP address, the time, the address requested, and your browser's user agent. It is used to deliver the site and to keep it secure, and is not combined with other data or used to identify you.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a secure, working website. Microsoft processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Microsoft may process data outside the EU; such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.

Line and crew links

Links like snowcanvas.app/l/… and snowcanvas.app/join/… open the SnowCanvas app when it is installed. Otherwise this site shows a short page about the app. That page doesn't contact our servers and doesn't show the line or crew: it only reads the address in your browser to offer an “open in the app” link, and nothing from it is stored.

Email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed. Our mailbox is provided by Google (Gmail).

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected, deleted or restricted, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to its processing (Art. 15–18, 20 and 21 GDPR). Write to the email address above. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work.
